On Wednesday, the Washington State Senate Democrats and Washington State Senate Republican Caucus passed House Bill 1137, Concerning National Guard pay in state active service for wildland fire response duty. With this vote, the bill will move to Governor Jay Inslee for signature and passed into law. Thanks to Representative Mari Leavitt for her hard work on this bill and we are very excited to be present for the bill signing!

Col. Johan Deutscher, commander of the 141st Air Refueling Wing, located Fairchild Air Force Base, took his final flight with the wing this past week. Col. Deutscher will be moving to Joint Force Headquarters after his change of command this weekend. As part of the final flight, Col. Deutscher got sprayed with water, a tradition that dates back to World War II, celebrating an aviators final flight with a unit.

"Welcome to the home page of the 141st Air Refueling Wing, Washington Air National Guard. Our unit is located on Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, approximately seven miles from Spokane. Our mission is flying KC - 135 air refueling aircraft in support of world-wide aerial refueling. Our 900-member unit is rich in aerial history.
