Today feels like a The 133d Army National Guard Band kinda day! The Brass Patriots traveled from Gig Harbor to the Lilac City to perform at the Spokane Indians baseball game last night!
Earlier this week The 133d Army National Guard Band jumped on stage at the Waterfront to participate in the Gig Harbor's Summer Sounds at Skansie. Young and old the Army Guard musicians got the crowd moving!

This week, Maj. Gen. Tevamit Ponakdee, Director of Logistics, Royal Thai Army and other officers visited Camp Murray for a Logistics Subject Matter Expert Exchange. During the visit, Lt. Col. Pete Hudspeth, Director of Logistics and Gen. Ponakdee shared best practices and discussed common practices. The Kingdom of Thailand and Washington State have been part of The National Guard's State Partnership Program since 2002 and continue to expand and broaden their relationship through exchanges in Washington and Thailand.

Crews from Charlie Co. 1st Battalion, 140th Aviation are flying home two brand new UH-60m Blackhawk helicopters from McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey and delivering them to their new home on Joint Base Lewis-McChord with the Washington National Guard.

Today is National Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD Awareness Day is a day dedicated to creating awareness regarding PTSD. Veterans and service members are highly likely to experience PTSD during their lives. So today reach out to a buddy that is affected by PTSD, give them a high five and talk with them, encourage everyone to raise public awareness of PTSD and effective treatments. We can all help those affected!

"Welcome to the home page of the 141st Air Refueling Wing, Washington Air National Guard. Our unit is located on Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, approximately seven miles from Spokane. Our mission is flying KC - 135 air refueling aircraft in support of world-wide aerial refueling. Our 900-member unit is rich in aerial history.
