CAL FIRE Capt. Nick Reeder provides a briefing to the Fresno based Joint Task Force Rattlesnake team regarding the responsibilities for the day in a section of Sierra National Forest, April 22, 2020. Joint Task Force Rattlesnake is made up of Soldiers and Airmen from the California National Guard. The Cal Guard service members are divided into five 20-person teams stationed across California whose mission is to work alongside CAL FIRE to remove potential "fuels" such as dry vegetation and dead trees from areas susceptible to wildfires.
