Kicking off CrossTell 2018

An F-16D Fighting Falcon from the 162nd Fighter Wing in Tucson, Ariz. approaches the boom of a KC-135 Stratotanker to receive fuel during the Aerospace Control Alert CrossTell training exercise July 24, 2018 over western Oregon. CrossTell is a three-day exercise involving multiple Air National Guard units, the Civil Air Patrol, and U.S. Coast Guard rotary-wing air intercept units to conduct training scenarios to replicate airborne intercepts designed to safely escort violators out of restricted airspace.
