Yes, it's that time again! No, not Valentines Day! It's Self Inspection Time!
It seems like there is a never ending cycle of inspections for our organizations. In the last year the 141st Air Refueling Wing has been subjected to several major, Inspector General Inspections, not to mention two separate Self Inspection Cycles and Staff Assistance Visits.
The current Self Inspection Cycle brings with it change. However, these changes may not be fully implemented for all areas of the wing until after the current cycle.
In accordance with the 141 ARW, OI 90-201 our annual self inspection cycle began in January and will conclude at the end of February. This year we are in the middle of a transition from a spread sheet driven program to a data base type. However, this transition should not effect the completion of the inspection. If your inspection checklists are currently in the Spread Sheet format, please use that format to complete your self inspection. If your checklists have been updated into the Data Base format, complete your self inspection using that format.
What is truly important is that you complete the process and forward the results to your Group Commander as directed by 141 ARW, OI 90-201.
The answer to why we love, "Inspection", at least from your commanders' point of view, is that the results of your efforts are great indicators of the wings ability to support our state and federal missions.
Thank you for your hard work. If you have any questions please e-mail me at bob.crossman@wafair.ang.af.mil and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
